The idea was to buy a cheap car between the three of us and create a road legal car for trackday use with very little money. We aim to gain as much speed and handling improvements as possible using weight reduction and cheap simple methods, taking weight and speed measurements as we go.
The car in question had been on our radar for a while but as we all have our own slowly moving track projects it was just left.
Then as the price was reduced and the three of us happened to mention it while in the same location the idea of splitting the cost and effort hit upon us.
